No. We understand that often in order to think about accessing treatment there are other factors such as accommodation and finances that will need to be stabilized. Treatment is a holistic word and can involve a whole gammot of things.

Only if the client wants follow up. We are more than happy to have a chat with you about treatment issues and then leave it at that. There is no pressure to follow up or become involved in case management.

Yes. We can help people find and access services both in the ACT and interstate. A lot of people find it helpful to move away from their familiar place to go through treatment. We have built up a very comprehensive lexicon of A&OD services available throughout Australia, so we are a good point for referral.

Definitely. The TSS is more than happy to advocate for people who feel they have been unfairly treated by other service providers.

Definitely. This is a crucial component of the TSS’s service provision. Other services may be more inclined to respect the validity of a complaint if a client is aligned to a services like TSS.

No. Accessing non-medical options such as acupuncture, herbal support, massage and bowen therapy are just as important and valid as accessing medical options.

Yes. We can meet you at any of Directions service points or any other certified service provider.

No. Treatment Support does not mean that we can fast track clients through the system. We can however, explore the potential to receive special treatment depending on the individuals circumstances.

Ideally it is good to call and make an appointment. However, if you want to access the TSS right away feel free to call or drop in to see if we are available.
