The Community Health Promotion Program encompasses training, resource development, and health promotion for DIRECTIONS ACT.

The program provides a opportunity for DIRECTIONS ACT to reach out into the community, especially to those at risk of being affected by Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD). We do this through a range of outreach and health promotion activities, and education services. This program educates people about services, information, and support, that is available in the Canberra Community, and within DIRECTIONS ACT.

The Outreach and Promotional Activities include:

  • Information and resources distribution
  • Support and support groups
  • Referral pathways
  • Crisis intervention
  • Life Skills
